About the publisher
Kim Miller is a lifelong resident of Lake County. She has been married to her husband, Dan, for over 21 years and is the mother of three children - Justin, Dan and Jennifer.
Five years ago, Kim realized that finding local things to do with her family was a difficult task. The family publications in the area contained very little editorial information about Lake County. Most of the articles were generic and written by writers from out of the area and very few local activities and events were featured. And searching for things to do website by website was time consuming. She felt Lake County families deserved a publication that offered fresh, original stories about the people, places, events and businesses in Lake County and surrounding areas. A publication that brought information from dozens of local sources all together in one place.
That’s when Kim and Dan decided to combine their then 25 years of advertising and publishing experience to start Today’s Family Magazine.
